Can't get into Usksider
I've had several people saying today they are not able to get into usksider.blog.co.uk
It all seems fine to me at the moment, but has been tediously slow to upload posts, answer comments, etc at times during the last few days.
Any ideas?

I don't know, like you say the whole of BCUK seems to have been temperamental for a while now. I think at times it's just totally overloaded - suffering the effects of it's own popularity.

Yes I wonder about that. They're supposed to have moved to new and more powerful servers though... we were promised greater efficiency, etc.
I've got to say as a subscribing member I'm not exactly happy with the service of late.

A couple of us have also logged a problem about not receiving email notification. It was ok earlier today.

I've had a lot of problems trying to get into your blogs this evening (SUnday) and even when I finally manage to get in, (by much juggling with the stop and refresh buttons) it's impossible to post.

We'll try to figure out what's wrong but can't really reproduce it,
since when exactly do you get messages that you blog cannot be reached?

Yes I appreciate it would be difficult to reproduce.
I had an email from a friend saying they couldn't get into usksider.blog.co.uk on Friday and a couple of comments saying the images weren't loading or the site was really slow. (see below)
Several more comments/PMs/emails on Saturday saying they couldn't access usksider.blog.co.uk
Also then to weekend-teaser.blog.co.uk from 8:00am onwards on Saturday - a few comments from users too saying the images weren't loading there.
With regard to speed: I found blog.co.uk tediously slow on Friday. I was not able to upload images or answer comments during the late morning/early afternoon. See http://usksider.blog.co.uk/2008/04/18/-4061799
I noticed no issues with regards speed or unavailability on either Saturday or Sunday.

some users still get the routes to the old Datacenter for some reasons i cannot sort out at the moment - at least it was the problem for me ... i changed my nameserver and now it runs smoothly, you can help us by doing what FAQ
